Description Michael Meeks 2008-10-10 09:42:39 UTC
Using the simple-ccsm default setting; and pressing alt-tab reveals a set of flat thumbnails that are scrolled horizontally to allow selection of the window we want: that works nicely.

The problem comes though when you're too fast - ie. you release <alt> shortly after pressing <tab> - the "I know the window I want is next down in the stack thank you - please switch to it quickly" ;-)

In this case, many times the animated preview / switching thing gets leaked - and ends up stuck over the top of your desktop ;-) it's not click-able, luckily it's fairly transparent - but it's a tad ugly.

Luckily another alt-tab cycle [ done much slower ] removes the leaked windowage - which is good. Presumably we're just forgetting to clean up some asynchronous state-machine somewhere.

I can confirm this, switcher stays stuck even after lifting off alt+tab.

Apparently this is related to the Fading Windows plugin, if I disable fading windows [ something else that slows me down ;-] - the alt-tab thing becomes permanantly stuck on top regardless of how fast you switch, or long you watch it for ;-)
