Description Forgotten User YLzcEHequO 2008-10-13 21:46:54 UTC
HP laptop dv9925nr with 11.0 installed.
Booted 11.1 Beta2 _i386_ DVD created from delta iso and choose upgrade. (Also downloaded DVD from ftp5.gwdg.de with same results. md5sums checked on both.)
Boot hangs unless I move my finger around the touchpad, (_very strange_).
On the "Installation Settings" screen I have no installation media, screen shows "?"
Launch "Packages" module and select Configuration-->Repositories setting which goes back to "Installation Settings" screen which provides no installation source which means I cannot upgrade.

Will try ftp install.

Workaround might be to remove the All the DVD-based repositories in running 11.0 and then reboot to installation media.

I have _NO_ DVD repository sources so how is this a dup of 400823? All repos are marked as disabled during install process.

Actual problem could be because of the sdXX hdxx screwup in the order of loaded drivers.

Because the symptoms are the same
(In reply to comment #4 from Ken Schneider)

clients/inst_upgrade_urls.ycp:631 Deleting repos: [0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8]

clients/inst_upgrade_urls.ycp:746 Adding DISABLED repos: ["ID: 0", "ID: 1", "ID: 2", "ID: 3", "ID: 4", "ID: 5", "ID: 6", "ID: 7", "ID: 8"]

Solved as bugfix of bug #400823 in Beta3

Please, file another bug.
