Description Stephane Delcroix 2008-10-23 09:54:05 UTC
The fingerprint configuration ask to "swipe your right index".

1) works fine with any finger
2) almost impossible if the reader is under the screen (x61tablet). the only suitable finger is my right thumb
3) every authentication dialog ask for "swipe your finger"

so, asking for the "right index" looks confusing
Comment 1 Jiří Suchomel 2008-10-24 08:22:40 UTC
1)

Yes, it works with any finger, but the configuration is saved for right index. YaST currently does not support it but the library bellow does: user can have stored fingerprints for all the fingers.

3)
This would be correct, as the authentication part scans for all saved fingerprints, so you can have them for more fingers and use any of them for authentication.

So I'd like to leave the text as it is....
