Description Jon Pryor 2008-10-23 14:30:08 UTC
During the System Analysis and/or System Probing installation phases, at the bottom of the screen are a set of "worker" icons (not sure how to describe them; they look sort of like people holding a wrench) above a progress bar.

What are they for? They start in a "dimmed"/grayed default state and gain color as the probing progresses...in exactly the same fashion as the progress bar.

So it seems that we have two progress bars on this screen, the actual progress bar (showing progress in percentage) and a "worker" progress bar, showing progress in...the number of worker icons that are no longer gray.

This seems like a bizarre duplication of information.

Why not just stick with a progress bar?
