Launching yast and other X11 applications via gnomesu doesn't work after an upgrade to 11.1 Beta 3 from 11.0.

$ gnomesu -- /sbin/yast2
Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key 
(y2controlcenter-gnome:11940): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0

$ gnomesu -- /usr/bin/firefox # similar display error to yast

Simple non-X11 things work such as
$ gnomesu -- touch /tmp/gnomesu

I can reproduce this on two different machines.
