Description Felix Möller 2008-10-28 18:31:14 UTC
I upgraded yesterday to current factory and that broke my intel graphics once again.

Last working version was:
* Do Okt 09 2008 sndirsch@suse.de
- xf86-video-intel 2.4.97.0_2.5-branch_ffcbbb0
  * Intel-2008-Q3-RC3 release

The display goes off every 3-10 seconds for a half a second on my external display when I have it switched on in addition to my internal screen.
fm@macbook:~> xrandr

No. This is KDE polling for new outputs all the time. Fixed for Beta4. Lubos, please close as duplicate.
Comment 4 Felix Möller 2008-10-28 20:19:14 UTC
Thanks for pointing that out Stefan. Sadly I cannot find that report.

Just to make sure it is a duplicate: This happens just if I have my internal and external display on. If I just use the external it does not blank.
Comment 5 Felix Möller 2008-11-03 07:40:24 UTC
this is not fixed with todays factory, which I thought would be close to beta4.

Stefan do you now the package which changelog I would have to look at?
Comment 6 Lubos Lunak 2008-11-03 14:59:08 UTC
Does 'qdbus org.kde.kded /kded unloadModule randrmonitor' fix the problem?
Comment 7 Felix Möller 2008-11-03 20:30:52 UTC
