Forgot: installed and used by default for the distro and the 1-click installs. At least for amarok I can confirm that it does not work correctly with gstreamer. Please change the standard phonon backend to xine. See bug 442175. Since updating libxine1 to the packman version pulls the phonon xine backeend, this is kind of fixed. If anyone has issues with sound on the default install without updating libxine1, i.e. gestreamer is disfunctional and should not be the default in the next opensuse version, please re-open. Fresh default install of 11.2 M4 + KDE:Factory and no sound notifications, e.g. login sound, in KDE until one installs the xine phonon backend. Added to the next meeting's topics. Done in milestone 6. |
