Following an installation completed in French,

The keyboard selection in GDM is wrong making it by default impossible to type your password.

Fedora has a patch that kind of works, except it sees the comment for KEYTABLE as the value to use.

Fixed this by amending my patch for bug #432360. The sysconfig parser is now more general and can be used outside the context of the settings backend.
