Description Forgotten User --EoyBps8f 2008-11-02 19:58:17 UTC
While suspend to disk worked on 11.0, it does not on 11.1 factory. If I trigger it manually by pm-hibernate I see a stack, yet I do not know how to pipe it to a text-file. /var/log/pm-susepend.log does not show it.

IIUC this is not specific ti the MSI wind. Rafael, Pavel?
Comment 2 Pavel Machek 2008-11-04 13:20:32 UTC
Can you make a picture or just transribe it by hand?

seife, do you see that problem somewhere?
Comment 3 Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2008-11-04 14:28:30 UTC
No, but I am in homeoffice this week and thus only have a very limited set of machines to test on ;) But I seem to remember there was some generic hibernate problem in beta4. Maybe this bug is a duplicate of that one?

I think this is a dup of bug #439126 and it seems to affect _all_ 32-bit systems (with PAE kernels at least).

I have an MSI Wind here, but I don't have 11.1-beta on it. I'll try to reproduce with a stock kernel and the suspend utilities from the CVS.
Comment 5 Rafael Wysocki 2008-11-04 22:57:35 UTC
So far I can't reproduce the problem with the vanilla 2.6.27.4 kernel and s2disk/resume from current CVS.

Sven, can you try the vanilla kernel from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/HEAD/ , please?

Comment 14 Forgotten User --EoyBps8f 2008-11-06 19:35:46 UTC
Are you sure this is a duplicate? This bug is about suspending, the other about resuming.
Comment 15 Rafael Wysocki 2008-11-06 23:00:42 UTC
I am. I have MSI Wind here, on which I can reproduce the problem. :-)

Please follow bug #439126 from now on.
