Description Christian Boltz 2008-11-06 17:53:13 UTC
The feature list contains
Ability to Ignore Updates (Feature No: 120118)

This is not possible with kupdateapplet - there's no checkbox etc. to ignore an update.

The only thing I can do is deselect an update _for the next install run_ - but kupdateapplet shows it again after a restart (maybe even after a refresh, I didn't test that).

kupdateapplet uses PackageKit to connect to the package management. As PackageKit doesn't support 'package locks' the user needs to set them with YaST by using 'yast sw_single' and clicking 'Package > Taboo'.
