Description Juergen Weigert 2008-11-07 11:35:24 UTC
my test user 'testy' suddenly can no longer log in.
after typing his password, or even an empty password, kdm freezes.
this is beta4 with all updates from http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.1/
kde4-kdm-4.1.2-7.1

root login works.

Further investigation revealed this:
test user account stops working in kdm, when I enable the fingerprint reader in yast for this account.
This is a lenovo X60s.

I could log in after disabling the fingerreader, reenabled -> failed, redisabled -> succeeded again.

Christian, can your team give guidance on this?
Comment 3 Dirk Mueller 2008-11-11 13:54:10 UTC
can you try again with the next beta? I've fixed a couple of fingerprint issues.
Comment 4 Juergen Weigert 2008-12-25 10:47:51 UTC
No issues with Beta6 and kdm, fingerprint reader is working.
No issues with SLED-11-RC1 either, but I don't have kdm there....

fingerprint reader and kdm seems like a duplicate of bug 450893
