What version of KDM more specificly? I seem to be fine with kdm 3.5.10 *** Bug 450202 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Looking at bug 450202, this is happening with KDM from KDE 4. *** Bug 439409 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 448782 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** After updating to 11.1 (from 11.0), I'm having the same problem to shutdown/restart from Gnome. This is using kdm4. (See: http://forums.opensuse.org/applications/412957-shutdown-restart-gnome-just-log-me-out.html ) I would like to investigate a bit more about this problem... What are the commands triggered when clicking on the Shutdown and Restart buttons, so that I can try them from console ? (Please disregard my previous comment. Even knowing what's behind a click on shutdown from the menu bar, I don't have the knowledge to analyze it.)
