Description Kevin Dupuy 2008-11-13 02:57:47 UTC
compiz-0.7.8-4.8

(Using GNOME) Moving a window onto the side of a desktop, which usually moves the window and switches the user to that side of the cube, doesn't. I've looked in the Simple CompizConfig Settings for something that might turn this on, but I found nothing.

Anything else needed I'll provide.

In ccsm > Rotate Cube > check DnD, if it is checked, disable and re-enable "Rotate Cube" plugin.
Comment 2 Kevin Dupuy 2008-11-17 23:51:43 UTC
Jigish, Edge Flip DnD was checked. Unchecking and reenabling Rotate Cube has solved the problem.
Comment 3 Jigish Gohil 2008-11-18 04:40:10 UTC
I can confirm that there is some bug, rotate plugin needs re-enabling before "Edge Flip DnD" work.

David can you have a look at this too?

I have the same problem.
Always have to disable and re-enable the rotate cube plugin.
Using Opensuse 11.1 x86_64
Any update?
Comment 5 Kevin Dupuy 2009-01-02 22:54:54 UTC
To echo what Koen De Witte is saying, the problem remains in 11.1 final. In fact, none of the edge functions work, including the "scale window" at the top corners.
Comment 6 Jigish Gohil 2009-01-03 04:24:12 UTC
The "unofficial" update from here should fix it:

Basically the same fix as mentioned in the opensuse wiki at http://en.opensuse.org/Compiz_Troubleshooting#Compiz_on_openSUSE_11.1_hates_me

I still had the same problem until I activated emerald as default window decorator.
Now everything works like in 11.0 final except that I do not have an icon for the fusion_icon in the taskbar. But I can live with that.

Any plans to push this fix to 11.1-update?
