Yes. knm4 will not be installed by default on openSUSE 11.1. (In reply to comment #1 from Stephan Binner) > Yes. knm4 will not be installed by default on openSUSE 11.1. > Do you mean that it will not be available in the available plasmoid, by default? What will be used instead? The knetworkmanager of KDE3 under KDE4? Exactly. I read the KNetworkManager context menu entry "Configure Notifications" instead of the desired description "Benachrichtigungen einstellen" for the German language setting in my KDE 3.5.10 session. I would appreciate a translation update. How do you think about to add an entry "Help" (and "About..." below that like in the Klipper application) to the applet context menu? We are using upstream translations for 11.2 and these should be ready in time. (In reply to comment #5) > We are using upstream translations for 11.2 and these should be ready in time. What does this mean, please? ATM, we have these k* pot files in the suse-i18n translation SVN: -rw-r--r-- 1 ke suse 12768 2009-09-01 07:28 50-pot/kde4-openSUSE.pot -rw-r--r-- 1 ke suse 947 2008-07-14 11:24 50-pot/kfiledialog.pot -rw-r--r-- 1 ke suse 13821 2008-07-14 11:24 50-pot/kinternet.pot -rw-r--r-- 1 ke suse 1856 2008-07-14 11:24 50-pot/kio_slp.pot -rw-r--r-- 1 ke suse 4529 2009-08-17 11:32 50-pot/kio_sysinfo.pot -rw-r--r-- 1 ke suse 21644 2008-07-14 11:24 50-pot/knetworkmanager.pot -rw-r--r-- 1 ke suse 28254 2008-07-14 11:24 50-pot/kpowersave.pot -rw-r--r-- 1 ke suse 2079 2008-07-14 11:24 50-pot/krpmview.pot -rw-r--r-- 1 ke suse 1200 2008-07-14 11:24 50-pot/kryptomedia.pot -rw-r--r-- 1 ke suse 13310 2009-05-18 10:20 50-pot/kupdateapplet.pot -rw-r--r-- 1 ke suse 11240 2008-07-14 11:24 50-pot/kwin_SUSE2.pot If not told otherwise, openSUSE translators will translate all this and expect the KDE developers to make use of their translations. If you neither keep the pot files in the suse-i18n repo up-to-date, nor use these translations, but use upstream translations, I'd like to ask to remove the pot files from our SVN to save resources. Sorry, I thought we'd agreed a lot earlier in the cycle that knetworkmanager was being done upstream now - but I've deleted the mail thread. I've removed knetworkmanager.pot from lcn svn. r50213 (In reply to comment #7) > Sorry, I thought we'd agreed a lot earlier in the cycle that knetworkmanager > was being done upstream now - but I've deleted the mail thread. > > I've removed knetworkmanager.pot from lcn svn. > > r50213 Thanks, Will. It could have been me who forgot to remove it from the SVN or missed to communicate it properly to the translators. Apologies, please. |
