Description Pavel Nemec 2008-11-26 07:21:25 UTC
I have installed all needed packages (I hope)
# rpm -qa | grep flash
pullin-flash-player-11.-2
flash-player-10.0.12.36-3.1
libflashsupport-000-62.3

But flash in Firefox do not work. I see only grey square in size of flash aplet. Neither youtube nor any add works.

When run Firefox from console I see those messages:
*** NSPlugin Wrapper *** ERROR: NPP_New() invoke: Connection closed
*** NSPlugin Wrapper *** ERROR: NP_Initialize() invoke: Connection closed
*** NSPlugin Wrapper *** ERROR: NP_Shutdown() invoke: Connection closed

You are using Firefox 64bit and flash 32bit which I can just see because of the messages you pasted. Please use the correct Hardware tag in the report at least the next time.
nspluginwrapper 1.0.0 as we use it has some issues with Flash still. In most cases it should work by and then for example by reloading the page or restarting Firefox and so on.
Comment 2 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2008-11-26 08:46:05 UTC
And I just remembered: Do you have libcurl4-32bit installed. Flash needs libcurl and fails silently if it isn't available.
Comment 3 Pavel Nemec 2008-11-26 09:10:17 UTC
nspluginwrapper-1.0.0-13.2
kdebase4-nsplugin-4.1.3-2.8
kdebase3-nsplugin-3.5.10-15.20
libcurl4-7.19.0-10.4
libcurl-devel-7.19.0-10.4

Sorry for incomplete bugreport. I have of course x86_64 system with 64b Firefox.

None of flash package require curl. If comment #2 is correct this is bug.

I tested flash on 32b opensuse. Everything works correctly.
Comment 4 Stanislav Brabec 2008-11-26 11:34:23 UTC
Please install libcurl4-32bit and try again. If it will fix your problem => duplicate of bug 443772.
Comment 5 Pavel Nemec 2008-11-28 09:11:19 UTC
Yes it fixed problem
