further hint: After starting yast2 'online_update' (you can cancel it immediately) the update applet is working fine. It seems, that the update applet is just needing one single initialisation... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 449157 *** |
Created attachment 256678 [details] yast logs I have installed the 32-bit DVD version (KDE3.5) and tried to run the online update. I clicked on the update applet to update the system. Then the error messages appears: "User is not permitted: org.freedesktop.packagekit.system-update" However, updates via Yast2 works.
