Description Felix Möller 2008-12-05 09:45:54 UTC
My brightness hotkeys worked with 11.0 but do not work on default 11.1.

I have to start kpowersave to get the keys working. They do not work with powerdevil it seems.

I can see XF86BrightnessAdjust events in xev.

Comment 5 Forgotten User --EoyBps8f 2009-02-20 23:12:47 UTC
is this a wontfix or upstream?
Comment 6 Felix Möller 2009-02-20 23:50:41 UTC
There is a similar bug at ubuntu for volume and brightness.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kubuntu-kde4-meta/+bug/223643

For the volume there is even a patch in https://launchpadlibrarian.net/16528081/kdemultimedia_4.1.0-0ubuntu3.diff.gz

For upstream brightness there is https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=181718

This bug already has three duplicates and therefore should not be wontfix.

you need to be sure that every key is correctely setted....

Should this be upstream where this sort of problem has been widely reported? Is this still a problem, there seem to have been a lot of fixes for brightness problems recently.

Closing meantime. Let me know if is still a problem for you

Cheers
Steve
