The problem is that even if

$ fc-match 'sans-serif'
arial.ttf: "Arial" "Normal"

when I select "Sans Serif" in any KDE4 app (I only have KDE4 installed, not tested with others...) the selected font is "Nimbus Sans L".

To me that means a really bad rendering in the titles from news at http://barrapunto.com/ (spanish slashdot) when using Konqueror.


Setting component to 'KDE4 Workspace' but CC mfabian in case the problem isn't KDE4 specific.
