Description Markus Elfring 2008-12-25 21:23:10 UTC
openSUSE 11.0 had a menu entry "Lock session & switch user" on the tab "Leave". How do I get it back there and on the red session shutdown button in the panel?
Comment 1 Stephan Binner 2008-12-29 16:39:13 UTC
What display manager are you using?
Comment 2 Markus Elfring 2008-12-29 19:25:06 UTC
GMD ...

Were any buttons and menu entries disabled because the GNOME display manager is a bit buggy in switching functionality at the moment (e. g. bug #450759 and bug #460591)?
Comment 3 Markus Elfring 2008-12-29 19:44:36 UTC
GDM ...

I mostly use a KDE 3.5.10 session. Is the function "Lock screen & switch user" still provided in the other desktop environments?
Comment 4 Stephan Binner 2009-01-08 16:08:40 UTC
It doesn't work with GDM.
Comment 5 Markus Elfring 2009-01-26 04:58:17 UTC
There are more menu entries and buttons displayed if my KDE3 session was started by a display manager like KDM.
