In the YAST2 Sound Module (YAST->Hardware->Sound) I get the this message every time I want to change sound volume via other->volume... :
YAST got signal 11 at YCP file Wizard:740
/sbin/yast2: line 421: 13256 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" "$SELECTED_GUI" "$Y2UI_ARGS"
The number 13256 changes every time, but the rest of the message stays the same.
This message appears and sound configuration crashes before I can see the volume-dialog.
YAST has detected an VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller and uses snd-via82xx as driver. Because I can hear sound and the board has a VIA VT8237 southbridge I assume that this is correct.
This problem occurs in KDE desktop environment as well as in bash (Controll + F1) envirionment (Gnome not tested).
In OpenSUSE 10.3 the sound-voulume-configuration was no problem.
Because this problem occurs in OpenSUSE 11.1-KDE-LiveCD too, I assume that it is not caused by a bad configured OpenSUSE 11.0 installation system and could be relevant for OpenSUSE 11.1 too.

This line in the log

2009-01-24 11:56:26 <3> phi(4147) [libycp] Wizard.ycp:740 Widget id "VIA DXS" is not unique

indicates that it's a duplicate of bug 407060.
