I can confirm this bug. I don't know how to fix it to switch to the upstream branding automatically after you have installed the package, but this is how I managed to fix it manually: Change the value of DISPLAYMANAGER_KDM_THEME from SUSE to oxygen and restart kdm. This value you can find under Desktop > Display Manager in /etc/sysconfig Editor.
