Description Atri Bhattacharya 2009-02-21 01:13:18 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009012700 SUSE/3.0.6-0.1.2 Firefox/3.0.6

On using login-manager the first time and saving some changed setting (for example select new theme), kdm4 now displays root user as an icon on the login screen. Moreover user names are all messed up (like showing XYZABC for a user with full name XYZ ABC).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open login-manager from 'configure desktop'
2.Change something in the configuration window (eg. change a theme)
3.Log out, user names have been messed up.

Which version of KDE4, openSUSE, and what kdm theme are you using?
Comment 2 Atri Bhattacharya 2009-02-24 19:48:10 UTC
openSUSE 11.1
KDE 4.1.3 (which 11.1 shipped with)

Another case of kcm_kdm vs sysconfig.
