No way! Simply forget about it! Fair enough, you are doing a good job with openSUSE xorg so I figure you have your reasons. But how about including it in xorg-x11-driver-video or xorg-x11-driver-nouveau to make it easier for people to use it. Atleast the 2d part seems solid if Fedora thinks about using it for default. Compiling and supporting nouveau is a nightmare. Sorry, it's not the intention of the nouveau project to produce a distribution ready driver - talked with Stephane (not Stefan) from the project about that. Fedora has it because it's a community project. The nouveau driver is also packaged in openSUSE, and sometimes it even compiles. |
