Description Aaron Williams 2009-03-07 20:48:54 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.5; Linux; x86_64; en_US) KHTML/3.5.10 (like Gecko) SUSE

After I upgraded Qt to 4.5 from the KDE 4 Qt packages YaST2 is now crashing each time I try and go into package management, even when I force it to use gtk instead of qt.

yast2 sw_single
YaST got signal 11 at YCP file /usr/share/YaST2/clients/inst_packages.ycp:36
/sbin/yast2: line 421: 17258 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" "$SELECTED_GUI" $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS

Apparently I am not alone in this either. Others are reporting this on the forums.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Qt 4.5 from repository
2. Run "yast2 sw_single"
3. Watch it crash
Actual Results:
signal 11 crash

Expected Results:
Yast 2 software installer
