The password actually seems to be blank ie just hit return. However, it should not ask for a root password at all. The launcher misparses the Exec line in the .desktop - it tries to run -- gnomesu -- /sbin/yast2 live-installer afaict. gnome-desktop bug perhaps? Jags FL, running 'gnomesu -- /sbin/yast2 live-installer' on the command line and using a blank password should work around for now. Removed the workaround we added in gnome-session to make it work with gnomesu (which is now breaking it...). Submitted to oS:F. Will also fix glib/gnome-desktop to do something better, but the immediate problem is now fixed. The "real" bug was actually in libgnomesu. Fixed now. *** Bug 479864 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** JP Rosevear , Thanks running " 'gnomesu -- /sbin/yast2 live-installer' on the command line " did work. *** Bug 492007 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This is an autogenerated message for OBS integration: This bug (486644) was mentioned in https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/8217 Factory / gnome-session https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/8221 Factory / libgnomesu |
