0.7.0.r4359-15.1.1 - the version of NM Today also I get a little bit different output when running as root: cherokee:/home/tux # nm-applet libnotify-Message: Unable to get session bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.) ** (nm-applet:11548): WARNING **: <WARN> applet_dbus_manager_start_service(): Could not acquire the NetworkManagerUserSettings service as it is already taken. Return: 3 (nm-applet:11548): GConf-WARNING **: Directory `/system/networking/connections' was not being monitored by GConfClient 0x812e280 The message means that nm-applet is already running and exactly one copy of it can be active. It looks more like NetworkManager process isn't running. Please attach it's log file /var/log/NetworkManager. ->noresponse. |
