Please use KDE 4 knetworkmanager (yes, it runs in KDE 3).. There were a lot of bugs in manual IP entry, but now should all have been fixed. Please test with latest 11.2 milestone. |
Created attachment 294045 [details] My Ethernet card is an Broadcom NetXtreme User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4) Gecko/20090426 SUSE/3.5b4-1.4 Firefox/3.5b4 KNetwork Manager does not work correctly with my Ethernet card. I set up the connection and create an entry with my settings (static IP, static gateway address, two dns servers and netmask) but there is no actual result and no connection to the Internet. The traditional method with ifupdown is working fine. I'm using an HP NX9420 rh450ea Laptop. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.set up an network connection through KNetworkManager 2. 3. Actual Results: No Internet connection is established.
