Unfortunately multicard support has been broken lately with the switch to libpciaccess. At least there's now a person who tries to fix it. http://lists.x.org/archives/xorg-devel/2009-May/000828.html http://lists.x.org/archives/xorg-devel/2009-May/000928.html Not sure when/if this will happen though. So it's not the fault of SaX2 to configure only the primarary card. Clone mode is the default for a singlecard multihead configuration. It can be changed to side-by-side or bootom-up (also via SaX2). Or use you favorite RANDR 1.2 tool like xrandr, krandrtray (KDE 4.x), gnome-display-properties to change it at runtime. SaX2 creates a static configuration (xorg.conf). So if you change your hardware setup in between, i.e. connect monitors to a different graphics card, this can result in Xserver (startup) issues. This is the reasons we want to get rid of such a static configuration and no longer want to create any xorg.conf at all. This is tracked in Bug #441404. > Clone mode is the default for a singlecard multihead configuration. It can be > changed to side-by-side or bootom-up (also via SaX2). Also informations described on http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:X are required in case I'm expected to investigate that issue any further. Still waiting for a response for at least a week. Please reopen once you can provide the requested feedback. Thanks. |
