When I do YaST => Hardware => Mouse Model, the module never finishes loading.

This problem is particularly troubling as the system installs a PS/2 mouse instead of the Alps Touchpad that my computer has.

My workaround has been to copy xorg.conf from my 11.1 system into 11.2 M3.

Could you please attach YaST logs.

Just FYI: the mouse module will be removed from openSUSE 11.2 as the X-Server will configure everything automatically. No xorg.conf will be written/needed any more. See bug #441404. So this bug might get closed as wontfix soon. Just out of curiosity I'd like to see the full logs.

If your problem persists with the next milestone, please open a bug for X.org.

The mouse module is no longer available. Use the standard tools of your preferred desktop to configure your mouse - if really necessary.
