Description Markus S 2009-08-04 19:30:58 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090730 SUSE/3.5.2-1.1 Firefox/3.5.2

A while ago Will Stephenson commited a SVN snapshot of KNetworkManager 0.9 (IIRC together with KDE 4.3 RC3) to KDE/Factory. Other than not being fully translated to German, it worked perfectly.
With today's update to KDE 4.3.0 final it stopped working. I can't connect to my university's WLAN any more. Once it even crashed while trying to connect. (I try to reproduce the crash and post the log here.)

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Will Stephenson 2009-08-04 19:43:58 UTC
Please define "stopped working" further.

I have some reports that the wireless menu item is no longer found and the status reported in the tray icon tooltip is 'unavailable'.

And remember to install the debuginfo before you reproduce the crash.

Well, "Manage Connections" finds the WLANs, but I can't connect to any of them. No error message is printed. It basically behaves the same as the older plasmoid. I couldn't get it to connect to anything except ethernet either.

Bug 528083 is probably a duplicate of this one (or the other way round).

Information was provided in the last comment.
