Description Stephan Kleine 2009-08-27 00:54:32 UTC
During installation I chose german keyboard layout and "no dead keys" variant.

KDE neither respected the german keyboard layout nor the "no dead key" variant but as soon as I set it properly in the "Configure Desktop" thingy it works just fine.

Expected behavior:

Simply respect and use whatever keyboard layout & variant I set during installation and make that a preset for KDE.

Is this with a DVD or KDE Live CD install? This seems to make a difference, see bug 518281, comment 44.
