When you want to install opensuse with the net install media and
you have to connect to the server through a proxy server (at least when it needs authentication) it is noch possible to re/enter proxy information

i don't know why yast isn't able to use the proxy information that
were entered at the beginning but there is also no possibility
to re enter these informations
you have to switch to console and configure your /etc/sysconfig/proxy manually.

even if you guys won't see that problem as a bug this feature should be
inserted

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot from net install media
2. enter all requiered information needed for the installation through a proxy
3. proceed with the installation until yast tries to refresh the repositores

Let the yast screeners sort the yast bugs.

There are two places where proxy stuff can be entered:
* appending bootloader options before the installation start (adding 'proxy=http://my.proxy.anywhere:8080' or alike)
* or a dedicated dialog for simple network configuration that pops up when one wants to make use of community repositories - this one contains also proxy field

So - which of these two did you use? Does your proxy URL contain username/password?

In any case, please attach YaST logs from the installation

i used the second one

after i have boot from the cd and have selected the language
i directly choose the installation option and proceeded by the given
information on the screen

when the installation asks me for proxy i enter all required information
i think there are two separate dialogs for the proxy itself and for my
login data

yes i have to login

everything works fine till yast2 appears and asks for data like UTC and so on

when yast tries to connect to the installation server like download.opensuse.org
it fails becaus of missing proxy information

A-ha, so you are probably doing manual installation and you are entering proxy setup into linuxrc (blue and silver dialogs)

You have to login (supply username and password) to proxy, right? (not e.g into installation repository on the network). Where did you enter username/passwd information then?

Anyway, YaST logs are really needed (http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs/YaST)
