Description Ulrich Windl 2009-09-03 06:27:51 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.21) Gecko/20090410 SUSE/1.1.16-1.1.2 SeaMonkey/1.1.16

Found in yast2-online-update-2.17.13-1.2.17:
When installing updates (e.g. fetchmsttfonts-11.1-5.7.1) the vertical scrollbar shows a "bubble" (portion of displayed content relative to present content) that is about one third of the window. When scrolling the "bubble" jumped alternatingly to the top and to the bottom of the window, just as the window content jumped up and down. Despite that this pattern is completely unusual, it's very much confusing. A similar effect has been seen during package installation (in detail mode), where the user had the impression of seeing the same lines at the bottom of the window over and over again.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install updates that produce at least one window full of contents
2. Watch the scrollbar and the text output

Actual Results:
Content does not scroll smoothly, but jumps up and down.

Expected Results:
Consistent scrolling (as terminals always did)
