The network manager in kde4 requires a hex key: instead of giving 'mypassword' i had to enter '6d7970617373776f7264'

The gnome network manager did not require a password translation.

Forgot to say: the network is WEP64, and the password only work in WEP128

Also, i tried all sorts of WEP index and autentication combinations and none let me in. Finally the defaults with a hex-transformed password did work.

The wep index and autentication options are confusing btw, the gnome network manager did not show them.
