Description Forgotten User QeOVxYBsEN 2009-09-29 16:47:01 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; GTB6; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729)

I've had the same problem in both 11.0 and 11.1. I can't get sound working irrespective of the settings in the modprobe.d/sound file

The work around has been found using hda_verb, but this hasn't worked for me personally, and hasn't been implemented in recent versions of Alsa

I've psoted my configuration details in the forum for discussions with oldcpu

http://forums.opensuse.org/pre-release-beta/422121-sound-trouble-m7.html

The hda_verb fix was noted in an old forum

http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/laptop/403340-no-sound-asus-a7k.html

and I believe posted as a response to bug reports that I submitted in previous releases.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Sound doesn't work on headphones or speakers
2.
3.
Actual Results:
All steps in Audio trouble shooting guide cause the problems

Expected Results:
Play sound via headphone channel and main speakers
