Description Hawke Robinson 2009-10-18 05:46:21 UTC
During installation, after 1st reboot setting up final settings, attempts to connect to download.opensuse.org for updates. However was never asked if I wanted to do that (or did I miss that earlier?). More importantly, it never asked for network configuration settings, since I am normally on encrypted wifi it could not connect. it attempted to get the updates, timed out, and asked to Rety Yes or No. no options to setup network connection so that could configure network to get those updates. instead had to abort. Just seems it could be handled a little more smoothly. Will gladly reinstall again to give more detailed steps if needed.

Is this really a duplicate?
During installation (maybe I'm missing it?) I never see an option to check or uncheck checking online, it simply does the online check without giving me a choice. It appears the referred bug is regarding if you select not to go online for updates, it ignores the checkbox. Is this really the same thing?
Btw, Just tested with RC2 and same problem continues.
Thanks!
