kerneloops's manpage suggests that --nodaemon as an option exists. However, while this works:

kerneloops --nodaemon --debug
this doesn't:
kerneloops --debug --nodaemon

and kerneloops -h or --help don't do anything at all.

also a problem for 11.2

Reproducible: Always

openbug-day comment :

The version with which you had the bug is now obsolete.
I'll close this as NORESPONSE.

If you can still reproduce it in current 11.4 & factory, please reopen the bug and move it to the appropriate version.

Thanks!
Comment 2 Jon Nelson 2011-04-04 11:41:09 UTC
Nice. Did you even bother to try it? It took me all of 7 seconds to try it.
It's still an issue on 11.4

worklaptop:~ # kerneloops --debug --nodaemon
Starting kerneloops in debug mode
Scanning --nodaemon
worklaptop:~ #

^^^ Wrong.

worklaptop:~ # kerneloops --nodaemon --debug
^^^ notice, no exit! This is right.
Comment 3 Bruno Friedmann 2011-04-04 14:13:07 UTC
Jon sorry for quick closed, my fault was a bad double paste : twice the line which works doesn't help to reproduce :-(

I added the two last packager in the loop so they can go deeper.
In the meantime, the kerneloops.org website, seems down, or not working.
I've ask information to webmaster.
Comment 4 Jon Nelson 2011-08-04 16:22:32 UTC
Still wrong as of Aug 04 2011.
Will this get fixed for 12.x?
Comment 5 Jon Nelson 2011-10-12 20:39:34 UTC
Still a problem with 12.1 Beta 1, up-to-date as of this comment.
Comment 6 Greg Kroah-Hartman 2011-10-12 20:43:30 UTC
kerneloops.org is down, and the plans to bring it up are quite a ways in the future, so I wouldn't recommend using this tool at all for the near future, sorry.

When the backend comes back up, then I'll resume looking at the client issues as there's no way to test or do anything with it at the moment.
Comment 7 Greg Kroah-Hartman 2011-11-01 17:39:19 UTC
I'm going to close this as it's unknown if kerneloops is ever going to come back.
