RC2 Gnome desktop has no starting music.On the Milestone8 Gnome desktop has the starting music.But RC2 and RC1 ware silent.openSUSE-DVD-Build0339-i586.iso.Gnome desktop.

This is not a bug: the login sound in sound-theme-freedesktop was considered inappropriate and removed upstream (at least for now). Some people complained aobut it in the past. If we want a good login sound, then we need some artists to step up and provide one, but a bug here won't help with that.

Can we use novell/stereo/desktop-login.ogg at this moment, and push an update when sound-theme-freedesktop is ready?

It's not really a good sound (I wasn't happy with it when we added it)...

I like the Milestone8 Gnome desktop starting music very much.This is the best of all starting music of Linux,Who can tell me how to install it with the final Release.Thanks!

The opinion above is not for the novell sound, but the freedesktop sound.

I'm not against putting back a sound, fwiw. We just need a good one.
