This is RC1 with 
kdebase4-workspace-4.3.1-6.1.i586

I am runnung less in an xterm, highlight some text using left mouse drag, exit less, then paste with the middle mouse button. 
I get older clipboard contents or nothing. 

According to the klipper online help, the option
(*) synchronize clipboard with selection should make this work. It does not.

Workaround: make clipboard history empty, then xselection copy/paste works.

This is one of the symptoms of a bug in klipper which has been resolved upstream, the details are in my report.
