Description Scott Reeves 2009-11-04 21:12:05 UTC
New DVD install of RC2. After laying down all the files, the install reboots like normal but then comes up in text mode with an error "The graphical interface could not be started" Continuing the install in text mode eventually yields "maximum number of X display failures reached" when trying to start X at the end.

I got this failure, did a successful clean DVD install of milestone5, tried installing RC2 again and got the same results. I also used the same RC2 DVD and successfully installed (and did a check media) on another box so I don't think it's a one time fluke or a bad DVD.

Product is no longer supported. In case the issue is still reproducable on a maintainerd product (at that momement: openSUSE 13.1 or later), feel free to reopen.
