is yast2 the correct component for zypper issues?
or does zypper belong to the "basesystem" ?

running "zypper up" I just noticed that zypper shows wrong network transfer rate while downloading packages (while counting up the download-percentage). zypper claims

   Retrieving: texlive-latex-doc-2008-15.3.noarch.rpm [done (191.0 KiB/s)]
   Installing: texlive-latex-doc-2008-15.3 [done]

while both xnetload and xosview show ~2.4 Mbyte/sec which matches much better the estimated transfer time for the 312Mbyte package (2 vs. 27 minutes -- I did not wait 27 minutes for sure;)

next package looks ok for the final rate (but always showed numbers about ~160-190 KiB/s during transfer -- again real rate is > 2 GByte/sec):

Retrieving package texlive-doc-2008-15.3.noarch (4/31), 228.7 MiB (305.8 MiB unpacked)
Retrieving: texlive-doc-2008-15.3.noarch.rpm [done (2.8 MiB/s)]
Installing: texlive-doc-2008-15.3 [done]

and for this one zypper also showed <200KiB/s byt claimes the final rate to be only 16.5 KiB/s:

 Retrieving package texlive-2008-15.3.noarch (6/31), 253.6 MiB (465.5 MiB unpacked)
Retrieving: texlive-2008-15.3.noarch.rpm [done (16.5 KiB/s)]
Installing: texlive-2008-15.3 [done]

something's bogus with those zypper tranasfer rates...
