Since OpenSuse 11.2 Final thunderbird does not open any links in firefox when clicking on them.

The problem exists in thunderbird 3.x beta and in 2.x as well. 

The problem is confirmed by the following forum-post:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an E-mail in thunderbird which contains a link to e.g. www.opensuse.org
2. Click on the link
3. Nothing will happen
Actual Results:  
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:  
The expected result is that firefox opens and shows the expected web page.
