Comment 5 Roberto Bernetti 2009-11-22 15:02:12 UTC
I'm very sorry but at the moment I reverted to the opensuse 11.1 (I need the machine for my job) so the only information I am able to send are

1. the message of error of the Xserver (at the start of this thread) I got using CTRL+ALT+F8 and manually copying it because the command CTRL+ALT+F1-6 didn't give me access to a command line to get the files you asked (the machine was completly hanged). The error as I mentioned was at the restart of the second installation stage, manual cofiguration

2 the lspci out of my machine from the opensuse 11.1 installation

3. I tryed as one of my numerous attempt the driver in

 http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/Drivers:/Video/openSUSE_11.2/

but it didn't work either. After the completition of the installation using the video output of the mother board the ati video doesn't work using the latest 11.2 driver.

Regards

Ok. I suggest to reopen, in case you have another try with openSUSE 11.2 (maybe on a different partition or harddrive).
Comment 7 Roberto Bernetti 2009-12-29 14:45:27 UTC
I would give another try to 11.2.

Is there anything new about ati support to know before to start hoping in a better end?
