Description Andrew Joakimsen 2009-11-20 14:03:34 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 SUSE/3.5.4-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.4

In previous versions of openSUSE that had functional versions of KDE there was a search in the top K-Menu.

In openSUSE 11.2 using KDE there is no such search when using the classic style KDE menu.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install openSUSE 11.2
2. Switch to classic K-Menu
3. Click on K-menu
Actual Results:
Search box in K-Menu is not present

Expected Results:
Search box in K-Menu should be present

Please report such enhancement request directly upstream, see

http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:KDE#Report_at_bugzilla.novell.com_or_bugs.kde.org.3F
Comment 2 Andrew Joakimsen 2009-11-30 19:12:47 UTC
No, this was not upstream:

Stephan Binner 2008-10-27 11:48:50 UTC
That was a SUSE-specific patch for the default KDE start menu
Comment 3 Christian Trippe 2009-12-01 08:01:48 UTC
This was not upstream with KDE3, but it will not be implemented by openSUSE for KDE4. See comment 4 in bug 471383 which also has a link to the upstream bug report.

Closing as duplicate of the aforementioned bug.

<sarcasm> I really wonder why there is oposition to KDE 4. It make so sense at all. Why people say features are missing etc. SUSE points a finger at KDE and they point one right back.</sarcasm>
