Description Nikolai Maziachvili 2009-11-23 22:56:18 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 SUSE/3.5.4-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.4

with commit.downloadMode = DownloadInAdvance inabled in zypp.conf i get very confusing (well at first) output on console when i install packages.
To be more specific it seems like zypper retrieves packages twice, for example:

Retrieving package libsidplay1-1.36.59-137.2.i586 (2/32), 77.0 KiB (263.0 KiB unpacked)
Retrieving: libsidplay1-1.36.59-137.2.i586.rpm [done]

and tehn when it comes to installing (i presume) it goes again with "retrieving" :

Retrieving package libsidplay1-1.36.59-137.2.i586 (34/32), 77.0 KiB (263.0 KiB unpacked)
Installing: libsidplay1-1.36.59-137.2 [done]

would be more then enough to retrieve "once" and install later.

I do realize that package is being downloaded once, it's just it seems like zypper getting it three times before installing it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Yes, libzypp reported access to previously cached packages via the download callback. Fixed in libzypp-6.22.1.
