YaST acquires the hal lock org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Storage. Looks like a Gnome problem. Please re-open if you can still reproduce this bug in opensuse 11.4. |
Created attachment 333229 [details] YaST logs during the time of the problem reported. I attempt to delete about 20 partitions from a test disk and create one large partition instead. However, during the procedure, gnome desktop attempts (and fails, no auth) to mount the old partitions, causing the YaST partitioner fails (I think).
