I honestly do not fully understand your report.
So where does the black screen occur?
> While everything seems to go fine

> now just a black screen.
So the KDE desktop of the Live CD loads fine and when you try to install it you get a black screen?
Is this bug 577140? Although I can not confirm it is the same exact bug I did experience this bug after installing it from the DVD instead of the KDE Live CD-ROM. Also I had the 'strange colors' persist after the log in screen. As in the entire OS was near unusable due to being nearly unreadable, I resolved this by installing the official proprietary NVIDIA drivers. Created attachment 342425 [details]

As for the original problem which I'm guessing is related.
At the step on the screenshot, pretty much the first 'graphical' step I had nothing but a black (or pink) screen when booting the KDE x86-64 Live CD-ROM into 'Installation' mode.
(Just to reconfirm, the 'Check Installation Media' checked out okay)
