Tiaan, thanks for the report but please do not set the priority to Critical on any bugs. Please leave setting the priority/severity to the QA or Mono developers. This bug doesn't affect the majority of users (since Mono is used under Unix the most) so it cannot be critical in any way. I will investigate the issue before the end of this week. @Marek: Sure, I actually agree that it's not all that "Critical", but the classification criteria are confusing. Perhaps one could give more guidance about this on the bug submission form or document this in more detail on the "Accessibility: Bug Specification" page; after all, the drop-down selection only says "Critical: The software crashes [..., blah, blah]", which technically does apply in this case. But as a rule of thumb, I'll try not to log other bugs as Critical. :) Thanks for intending to look at this soon enough and being so responsive and helpful. Generally, we leave the decision on bug priority/severity to the QA team - it all depends on where in the release cycle we are, what is the Mono developer's/maintainer's assessment of the bug's impact on Mono etc. In general - it's best to leave it alone when filing bug reports :) Any chance this regression would be fixed for 2.6.3, or would 2.4.3 have to do for a few more months? This bug report seems to describe the general case for Bug 582162 (XSP2 crashes serving static images). Also, versions 2.6.3 and 2.6.4 still have this problem, such that it continues to hamper migration testing. Mark as duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 582162 *** |
