NetworkManager

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.0) Gecko/20100115 SUSE/3.6.0-1.8 Firefox/3.6

had some problems with hibernation so I did
dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest=org.freedesktop.Hal \
        /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer \
        org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.SystemPowerManagement.Hibernate
as suggested in https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=589294#c4 and after that networkmanager wouldn't work anymore.

Clicking on the networkmanager icon only shows "Network Management disabled" and that's greyed out. Even rebooting again doesn't change it. I had to revert to classic ifup network management.

Reproducible: Always

 /usr/bin/solid-network set networking enabled
Brings NetworkManager back on line. However NetwokManager crashes frequently

This doesn't happen with the latest updated kernels IE Linux 2.6.34-rc5-19-desktop i686 and I think Linux 2.6.34-rc4-18-desktop i686
