Description andy norrie 2010-04-16 11:39:28 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.1.249.1045 Safari/532.5

This is a bit vague I am afraid. After selecting the language it runs for a bit then brings up a red Error message. It has no details and I can not see the install log either. This only happens with the X64 drop 5 while the X86 version installs correctly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to install from drop 5 X64 version
2. Fails after selecting language
3.

I cut 3 different DVD's just in case and also check the disk was valid.

Error occurs just after the system probe. Another page flashes up but before it is possible to see what it was I get the Error screen (Red box) The net install version also fails the same way.

Andy, thanks for taking the time to report this problem. It's currently being investigated in bug #595545, so I'm marking this one as a duplicate.
